About Trista

Watching AutoCAD confuse students reminds me of my own initial struggles, which is why I teach by getting you moving immediately. Because I hold a BS Architectural Technology degree, I know exactly what firms expect regarding layer discipline and output quality. My approach avoids heavy theory in favor of building habits that last.

You will learn to draft with precision while I help you navigate the software interface. I prefer that you attempt tasks poorly right in front of me instead of hiding your mistake on your own. My methods support career changes who need to bridge the gap between classroom concept and real floor production.

About the lesson

Starting mid-draft, we open up drawing file to examine your current line work and layer management. I keep things relaxed while we focus on title blocks and sheet setup.

Precise drawing with coordinates becomes second nature once we establish your templates and drawing standards. We utilize measurement and inquiry tools to verify your geometry before plotting. Using polylines, splines, and various editing tools simplifies the entire process.

Real drawing sheets marked up and reviewed together ensures you see how text styles, tables, and layouts function in a professional setting. It is just about getting the lines right.
