About Juan

Hello, I’m Juan, architect and computational designer based in London.

I am a graduate of The Bartlett School of Architecture at UCL, where I completed a Master’s degree in Architectural Computation. I currently work as an Architect and Computational Designer and researcher at Zaha Hadid Architects, an internationally recognised architecture practice known for its innovative buildings, complex geometries and pioneering use of computational design.

I also have over seven years of professional experience working across hospitality, residential, commercial and interior design projects. Throughout my career, I have developed a broad library of practical skills, techniques and efficient workflows in Rhino, SubD, Grasshopper and architectural visualisation.

I now want to share this knowledge with students and other professionals, helping them overcome technical challenges, work more efficiently and make their everyday design process easier. My goal is to provide practical knowledge that can be applied directly to real architectural projects.

About the lesson

My lessons are practical, friendly and adapted to each student’s goals. We can work with structured exercises or use your own architectural project to solve a specific modelling challenge together. From the bases of computational geometry representation, to complex geometries and AI visualisation enhancement

I teach by sharing my screen and explaining each process step by step. Rather than simply showing you which commands to use, I help you understand the modelling logic behind Rhino, SubD and Grasshopper so that you can apply the workflow independently.

A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes and begins with a short discussion about your experience and objectives. We then work through the topic together, allowing plenty of time for questions and experimentation.

I am an architect and computational designer with over seven years of professional experience and a Master’s degree in Architectural Computation from The Bartlett, UCL. Although I am new to formal tutoring, I have regularly helped colleagues and fellow architects improve their modelling workflows and solve technical problems.

My lessons are suitable for architecture and design students, graduates and professionals at beginner or intermediate level. Classes are available in English or Spanish.
