About Matthew

History Major (Honours), Master of Architecture (B Arch), self taught photographer, musician. I train in my office on a regular basis and I have presented at conferences. I have authored articles and a novella. I love teaching and showing the connections between history and other disciplines.

About the lesson

First I find what motivates my students and then I look for a way to tie their motivations into the study of history. For example if you love cars, I will look at the history of technology and how it led up to the invention of cars. If you are interested in art I bring the history to life by showing how art relates to the political religious and historical movements of the period.

I charge the rates above for high school students or 1st year university students. For university students of 2nd year or later I will charge twice the above rate per hour.
