About Imogen

My name is Imogen Doward and I am 18 years old. I only finished my A level exams a few months ago but want to help other students struggling with sociology. I am passionate about the subject and found that it was something I really enjoyed studying and revising. Alongside sociology, I also studied media and English language. I found that these subjects all had many things in common so I was able to master exam technique. Despite consistently acing my sociology mock exams with A/A* grades, I ended up with a B in the actual A-Level result. This experience taught me the importance of not just knowing the content, but also understanding the unique pressures that come with exam day. I draw on this firsthand experience to guide students in avoiding typical exam errors, and to help them achieve their true potential, like preparing stress-relief strategies for the exam day or focusing on time management skills.

About the lesson

My classes will take place on Zoom, meaning that I am accessible anywhere in the UK. Sessions typically range from 45 minutes to an hour, depending on what is best suited to the student. I use focused PowerPoints, tailored tasks, and interactive games to target any problem areas. My tutoring is designed for AQA A-Level Sociology students, helping them master content and exam technique.

imogen was in my class for two years and i always looked to her for help. her structures were constantly top tier and she always dedicated a lot of time to revision , which led her to get high marks. She was great at explaining things to me, and her notes were so perfectly laid out, as well as really helpful, so i’d definitely recommend learning with her- as she is also a lovely person:)
