About Sneha
It was during my first ever solo backpacking trip through Europe in 2015, that I fell in love - with the German language and all things German! :) Thereafter, began my journey with languages & linguistics.
As a former commerce student with a bachelors degree in Corporate Economics, and education in professional fields - Company Secretaryship at ICAI and Chartered Accountancy - ACCA, I began my professional life as an accountant at a world-renouned MNC in Dubai.
But, soon I realised my love and passion for sounds and words, exceeded my love for the numbers on a balance sheet!
I was exhilarated to follow my heart, and thus made a career change into the amazing world of German language acquisition and applied linguistics.
This passion carried me through my intense but rewarding Masters education at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, where I acquired knowledge in the fields of sociolinguistics, SLA (second language acquisition), language teaching/pedagogy, learner psychology, and so on.
I also enjoyed a golden opportunity to deepen my knowledge of the German culture and the German language through research-based courses at University.
My passion for teaching languages (German & English) found an ideal opportunity for expression as I gained valuable hands-on teaching experience at a reputed IGCSE Cambridge International school in Chennai.
I am keen and happy to welcome you on board, dear learner. And I hope we can together make strides in improving our language skills in English, or acquiring a new foreign language - German! :)

The classes will be tailor adapted to suit the learners' needs and levels. My teaching style embodies the core principles of TBLT (task-based language teaching) which infuse the learning sessions with creativity, out-of-the-box thinking, and activity-based language acquisition.
With interactive games, multi-modal inputs via audio, video, interesting PPT presentations, language memes, stories, etc., the learning ensues smoothly with an ever-present element of fun & intrigue!
Progress is continually tracked, and learned language is solidified via techniques such as active recall and formative assessments, so that acquired language is immediately practiced, applied and integrated into the learners' minds.
Learners of any age above 13 are welcome to take benefit from my classes, whether for school supplementation or independent learning as a form of hobby.
Adult learners who wish to pursue higher education or employment in a German speaking country are also welcome, as your classes will be tailored to suit your specific learning goals.
Each online session will span across an average duration of 45 minutes to 1 hour. Scheduling can be negotiated as per convenience and availability.
