About Monte
In addition to my performance career, I have also been a singing teacher most of my life. I was on the music faculty of the prestigious Hotchkiss School for over a decade. In addition to voice instruction I taught the Music History course. As a criticality acclaimed author of works on Opera I lectured extensively to knowledgeable audiences. In other words, I know how to “work a room”. And I can help you learn to “work a room” in your new language. Let’s spend a little time together and see what we can accomplish together.

As a professional actor and singer I understand how speech is music. Speech has pitch, rhythm, and tone. I teach ESL students how to recognize these speech components and utilize that knowledge to take command of the language and express themselves with the authority and authenticity they achieve in their native tongue.
