About Axel
Hello, I’m Axel!
I'm a graduate from the BA Acting of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Since graduating in 2023, I have worked regularly on screen in different international productions.
My TV work includes roles in The Agency Season 2, where I have worked alongside Michael Fassbender, and I've recently joined the cast of two NDA shows that are going to stream on Amazon Prime next year. I will also have my feature film debut soon, and I will be filming in Bulgaria in November for it.
My practice is inspired from the 3 year training I received from Sinéad Rushe (Lead Acting Tutor at RADA). I decided to launch a coaching service after realising that few drama school audition coaches offer preparation that is very specific to the current audition process in top drama schools.
The way Drama Schools audition candidates evolves regularly, and I wanted to make sure that I can prepare applicants with the most up-to-date information, having been through that process myself a few years ago.
I also provide general acting coaching and lessons, and I will practice with beginner and intermediate actors the very same exercises learned on my BA acting!
For each of my lesson I aim to create a safe environment where you are allowed to take risks, and where we start from your own strengths and take them to the next level, together.

We can work together on either purely Drama School Entrance (see I.) or Acting in general (see II.)
I. DRAMA SCHOOL ENTRANCE
I have helped students get into RADA, LAMDA, Guildhall, RWCMD, the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Bristol Old Vic, the National Youth Theatre, the Brit School, and IDENTITY School of Acting (Professional Level).
My Drama School audition Teaching Method is divided in three core parts (skip and see further below if not interested in Drama School):
1. Finding Great Monologues or duologues: I will help you to find what resonates the most with your personality and cultural heritage, and that will inform greatly your monologue research.
2. Building a Rich Performance: We will work on having well-rounded monologues that display a character journey, great tension, a developed imaginary world and physical embodiment. At the end of our work you will not only speak the words but you will see, feel, hear, and live in the moment.
3. Being ready for redirection. This is the most challenging part of most recalls. Therefore I will test your ability to think on your feet, to stretch your imagination and to be open to all types of new contexts for your monologues that the panel could throw at you.
II. ACTING
Even if you're not interested in getting into Drama School, if you want to improve your acting skills, with me you will work on:
1. Text Analysis: it's about really understanding in depth the clues and "juice" the text is offering and dividing it into units which will help set up variation of tone, emotion, and intention.
2. Vocal ownership: I will guide you towards the right intonation, projection, volume and pitch that suits the discoveries we made in the text analysis.
3. Physical embodiment: we will work to help you find the right posture, movements and physicality that suits the given circumstances.
4. Imagination + Psychology: I will help you connect to your imaginary circumstances via guided immersive exercises, to see how these affect your feelings and emotion. The exercises I will use to elevate your work are inspired by Konstantin Stanislavski, Stella Adler, Lee Strasberg, Sanford Meisner, Michael Chekhov, Jacques Lecoq and Kristin Linklater.

Perfect! I've had one lesson so far with Axel and it was fantastic. I had to explain a lot of stuff as I have ME and he was able to tailor the lesson to me and also picked an excellent monologue, I thought the character selection was very astute. His feedback after we did some improv was really invaluable and made perfect sense, I suddenly knew exactly where i needed to improve in order to progress, whilst also feeling confident and proud of the abilities I've already developed. I felt really relaxed and calm with Axel and will definitely be booking again when I'm ready.
Perfect! Axel is honestly so incredibly kind and talented . He helped me so much during auditions and I couldn’t have done it with out him! I got to the final round of 5 different schools with his help and ended up getting a place for ba hons acting at Bristol which I am so happy about. I can highly recommend Axel for any help with upcoming auditions, monologues and a big confidence boost.
Axel coached my son for Year 10 auditions at the Brit School in Croydon. We were delighted he was offered a place for Year 10 and is just finishing Year 13.
Axel practised monologues, gave amazing advice and guidance and really practiced being outside of your comfort zone. We had a mixture of face to face lessons and also zoom which both worked well.

Axel is an incredibly easy person to get along with, which allows for a great learning environment. He has great ways in teaching methods of acting, that would be helpful for anyone looking to get into acting or to even boost confidence. I have been working with Axel for a little over a year on drama school audition materials and preparation. I had worked with several acting coaches before, people in the industry who had/have strong opinions on the monologues I had chosen, to a point where their views imposed on my own choices as an actor. Working with Axel, on the other hand, is a collaborative effort. He checks in with you on the progress you feel you have made, works with your own choices while incorporating his recommendations, and really aims to use his own knowledge of the craft and the audition process to meet you where you are at, and elevate your work. He is communicative, he cares about your journey, and his feedback is invaluable. It has been such a great experience working with him--and I cannot recommend him enough!
My session with Axel was incredibly helpful, he is warm and instantly put me at ease which helped me to feel comfortable enough to be open to his guidance.
