Co-wrote an elementary music curriculum
Studied music at the University of North Texas, including a year abroad at Sheffield University in England
Taught preschool through 12th grade (but I keep coming back to elementary!)
Owned an early childhood music & movement studio for seven years
Owned and managed my family’s ERP manufacturing software company for over 10 years
Flute is my main instrument and it has taken me around the world. I have studied with some of the best flute teachers in the world!
I enjoy writing scripts and arranging music to fit my students’ needs
Fun Facts About Me:
I love camping, hiking, and traveling
I’ve backpacked through Europe twice for a month each time
I’ve run three half-marathons (and decided that was plenty!)
My first private flute teacher at age 11 was the principal flutist of the Houston Symphony

Experience teaching all levels of music students from toddlers to 18 years old. I have a spiraling curriculum that relates every activity to specific music skills. Activities build upon each other as skills are strengthened.
Under 7 years old = early childhood music and movement development
Age 8 and up = recorder
Age 11 to adults = all levels flute
