I help/ support and educate by listening to what the individuals needs are, how they prefer to learn (visually or orally) and ask them what setting they prefer (online or in person). Then we work out what works best for them.
I am happy to find materials that work best for each person, what works for one may not for another.
I have supported people with learning life skills such as everything from learning to read and write through to education on social skills and life skills which includes cooking, cleaning, making and attending appointments in the community. I have taught people how to read their contracts by breaking them down into sections.
Some individuals started learning by reading a menu in a cafe’ . Others started by reading children’s books.
To learn English I would need to know your current language, what level of English you are at and preferred learning style. I would then research your language and create some basic English words translated from your language and we would build on that.
If you’re comfortable with your level of English and wish to learn some Australian I am happy to assist with that.
I am happy to travel to you or we can do lessons via the computer.
You can choose how many lessons, at what pace and location and we can work out a deal.
