About Naveen

I recently completed my third year at the University of Southern California, studying applied mathematics. I hope to become not just a teacher, but a mentor who will foster an interest and passion for the world of chess. I have played numerous tournaments and finished highly in a significant number of them. My experience with chess extends more than 9 years in the past.

About the lesson

My teaching approach will vary on the strength of a particular student. I will meet with the student and first get a grasp of their knowledge of chess. If the student is a beginner, I will first make it a priority to get them acquainted with all the different rules of chess, as well as rudimentary ideas of the game. For students at the intermediate level, then I will focus my teaching on skill enhancement through practice games and puzzles, as well as having them play games on their own using Chess.com so we can further analyze those games.
