Let me start off by saying, art should be Fun!!! My teaching methods center around learner-centered, and interactive, learning. I want students to be as involved and active as possible, even in an online setting; after all, creating art is a very hands-on experience. While learning art terminology and history is part of my teaching, one cannot underestimate how much knowledge is accrued by simply digging one's hands in! Children will be able to create in their homes right along with me by following artistic steps, asking questions, and letting their own creativity lead them.
