About Louise
With 13 years of teaching experience, I have helped students from school, college, and professional backgrounds enhance their piano skills and love for music. I believe that learning piano should be both structured and enjoyable. My teaching methodology focuses on patience, clear communication, and personalised instruction.
I assess each student’s level, strengths, and goals, and design lessons that build strong fundamentals, including finger technique, hand coordination, rhythm, and sight-reading. I also incorporate music theory, ear training, and rhythm exercises to develop well-rounded musicianship.
Lessons are engaging, interactive, and often include song practice, creative exercises, and performance preparation to keep students motivated. I help students overcome challenges, build confidence, and develop consistent practice routines.
My aim is to create a positive, inspiring, and supportive environment where students can grow as musicians and enjoy their learning journey.

My teaching methodology is centred on helping students achieve their musical goals while fostering creativity and confidence. I believe piano learning is more than memorising notes—it’s about understanding music, expressing emotions, and developing personal style.
I maintain open communication with students to understand their ambitions, interests, and challenges, allowing me to create lessons that are motivating, engaging, and customised to their needs.
Creativity is a core component of my approach. I encourage students to improvise, compose original pieces, and explore different musical styles. This allows them to develop their unique voice and strengthens their connection with music.
Flexibility is equally important; I adapt lessons based on the student’s pace, learning style, and preferences. Whether they are beginners learning scales or advanced players mastering complex compositions, lessons are tailored to promote steady progress and enjoyment.
In addition to piano, I teach related subjects such as music theory, sight-reading, rhythm, and ear training. This comprehensive approach ensures that students build a strong foundation in music while enhancing their expressive skills.
My goal is to create a learning environment where students grow technically, artistically, and personally, becoming confident and passionate musicians.
