About Wilam
I am a passionate and dedicated piano tutor with 17 years of professional teaching experience. During this time, I have successfully trained around 300 students, including high school learners, college students, and adults from different backgrounds. Teaching piano has given me the opportunity to guide students not only in music but also in building discipline, patience, and confidence.
My teaching philosophy is centred on strong foundations and steady progress. I believe that when students master the basics, they can achieve excellence in advanced music. I focus on correct posture, hand positioning, finger strength, scales, rhythm control, sight-reading, and musical accuracy. I also teach music theory in a simple and practical way so students understand how chords, scales, and harmony work together.
Each lesson is carefully planned and structured. I begin with warm-ups and technical exercises, followed by song practice and theory application. However, I always adapt to the student’s learning pace and goals. Some students prepare for graded exams, while others aim for performances or personal growth. I ensure every student feels supported and motivated throughout the journey.
Many of my students have performed confidently in recitals, school programmes, and public events. Several have achieved high scores in music examinations. Watching students grow from beginners to confident performers is one of my greatest achievements. My goal is to inspire lifelong passion for piano while developing skilled and confident musicians.

My teaching method for piano is based on clear communication, creativity, and flexibility. I believe music is a language. Just like any language, students must understand it, speak it, and feel confident using it. In my lessons, I explain musical ideas in simple words. I make sure students understand rhythm, melody, harmony, and expression step by step.
Communication is very important in my class. I encourage students to ask questions and share their thoughts about the music they play. We discuss what a piece is trying to express and how to show emotion through touch and dynamics. I give regular feedback so students know their strengths and what they need to improve.
Creativity is also a key part of my teaching. I help students explore improvisation, simple composition, and creative exercises. This helps them enjoy the piano more and not just focus on reading notes. I use fun activities, rhythm games, and listening exercises to develop musical understanding.
Flexibility means I adjust lessons to each student’s level, age, and goals. Some students want to prepare for exams, while others want to play for fun. I design lesson plans that match their needs. I also teach music theory, basic ear training, sight reading, and music history to give students complete musical knowledge.
My goal is to build confident, independent pianists who enjoy learning and practising music.
