About Mayar
I have completed my English first language qualification, I study English literature now and I help people change their accent.
I grew up in an Arabic speaking family and when I transferred to an English school I gave myself a month to learn the language. After that I had completely mastered the British and American accent while my fellow classmates were struggling. I went on to study accents and the art of them and how to increase/minimise them

My approach to teaching is very conversational, in a typical lesson we would do the following,
- After we have chosen your target accent, we will begin by listening to some examples of it.
- after that we will attempt to converse in your chosen accent. don't be shy! I am here to help you through it so make mistakes.
- I then will try to guide you through by making adjustments to your pronunciation
- We will also go through breathing, tongue placement and all the mechanics of accents.
-Lastly, we will have some time for any extra questions or issues you may be having.
I think my friendly and conversational approach balanced with technicalities really makes me stand out. However, I think what really sets me a part is that I myself struggled so much with my accent so I really do have a deep understanding and can help from an inside perspective who has been through the same thing thus will be a better guide.
