I picked Floriane to help me with writing a paper for English class. We worked on it for several sessions for a few weeks since it was part of my final grade. She helped me understand where to start, from picking texts, analyzing evidence, and and identifying the theme of my paper. We did a lot of practice in interpreting texts which was useful to me because I often find understanding classic literature is often a bit difficult. She techniques she gave me for breaking down texts were very effective and I will definitely be using them into college. In terms of my writing itself, she helped me to articulate my thoughts well without being repetitive or flat, something I often struggled with. She would have me watch her transform my sentences step by step, focusing on diction, flow, and transitions, and then have me apply what I learned on my own. It felt really cool to be able to see that I was capable of improving my writing so much by working with her and listening to her feedback. Floriane is an awesome, patient, knowledgeable tutor who will push you to realize your potential!

I reached out to Floriane requesting help with Algebra 2. I'd fallen behind during the semester and had forgotten a lot of the Algebra 1 basics. During our first sessions, she was very patient with me as I struggled with the content at first. She went through the steps thoroughly and at a meaningful pace, asking me to fill in the blanks and help solve problems after watching her do it. We would often structure practice after videos and note-taking, which helped with retention. After a couple sessions, I was caught up to the stuff I was doing in class and felt so much better about tests and homework, but I continued with her throughout the year! Specifically because of how well she'd explain things and check-in with me about how I was doing and if I needed her to switch gears or explain things differently. Flo helped me master Algebra 1 and 2, shake off my anxiety and confusion, and finally excel in math! I'm so grateful to have gotten such an amazinf tutor and I'm sure you will be too!
