About Coach Bunmi
What drives me is the profound impact martial arts can have on people's lives. I have witnessed firsthand the life-changing effects of my teachings. Parents have thanked me for liberating their children from the grip of bullying, empowering them with the confidence and skills to stand up for themselves. Female students have expressed gratitude for the techniques that have given them the ability to protect themselves in vulnerable situations, such as rape. Male students have developed not only physical strength but also the wisdom to deescalate conflicts without resorting to violence.
As a seasoned martial arts coach with over 20 years of experience, I have had the privilege of guiding countless individuals on their transformative journeys. Holding a 3rd-degree black belt in Taekwondo and affiliated with the Korean embassy, I have honed my expertise in teaching self-defense techniques that blend the best of Taekwondo, Judo, boxing, jujitsu, jeetkune do, and Karate.
My greatest reward is seeing the positive ripple effect my teachings have on my students' lives. I take pride in knowing that the living conditions and skillset of those who have crossed paths with my instruction are now better than when they first began. It is this sense of purpose that fuels my passion for teaching and inspires me to continue making a difference in the lives of others.

With over 20 years of extensive martial arts experience, I am a 3rd-degree black belt in Taekwondo and a certified coach affiliated with the Korean embassy
As the head coach of Damek Taekwondo club, I specialize in teaching self-defense techniques that blend Taekwondo with elements from Judo, boxing, jujitsu, jeetkune do, and Karate
Whether your goal is to learn Taekwondo as an art form or to master self-defense, I am the ideal instructor to guide you on your journey. With a proven track record of training over 2000 students, I am passionate about helping individuals of all ages and skill levels reach their full potential
My lessons (usually 2hrs/class) are tailored to each student's unique needs and goals. I place a strong emphasis on proper technique, discipline, and respect for the martial arts. By training with me, you will not only develop physical skills but also build confidence, focus, and mental fortitude.
