About Corliss
Hello! I am Corliss, and I am a recent graduate of Glenunga International High School, where I achieved a 98.70 ATAR. I am currently a first-year student at The University of Adelaide, studying the Bachelor of Veterinary Bioscience (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine pathway).
Having completed the IB Diploma as well as Australian mathematics courses, I have a strong and up-to-date understanding of the Australian Mathematics Curriculum (Years 1–10). I understand the challenges students often face when learning math and aim to explain concepts clearly, patiently, and in a way that builds confidence.
As a tutor, I am organized, reliable, and patient. I value creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.
I am passionate about helping students develop strong mathematical foundations, improve their confidence, and approach math with a more positive mindset.

I offer patient, personalised one-to-one Maths tutoring for students from Year 1 to Year 10, following the Australian Curriculum.
Whether your child needs support with building strong foundations, improving confidence, or consolidating school content in Number, Algebra, Measurement, Geometry, or Statistics, I aim to make maths feel clear, manageable, and achievable.
My qualifications & experience:
- Achieved 6/7 in IB Mathematics: Analysis & Approaches SL
Consistently achieved A grades in:
- Year 9 & 10 Mathematics
- Year 10 Specialist Maths
- Year 11 Maths Methods

My teaching approach:
I understand that many students find maths intimidating, especially at a young age. My teaching focuses on building conceptual understanding and confidence in doing maths questions.
In my lessons, I focus on:
- Building strong foundations by explaining concepts clearly and simply
- Breaking complex ideas into small, manageable steps
- Adapting lessons to each student’s learning pace and goals
- Reinforcing understanding through guided practice questions
- Talking students through problem-solving strategies and common mistakes
- Teaching effective study habits and revision techniques to build better study habits for students
Lessons can include:
- Reviewing schoolwork
- Pre-teaching upcoming topics
- Teaching topics that students find difficult
- Exam or test preparation
Lesson structure:
- Each lesson will be an hour
-Can be face-to-face (Burnside/Linden Park) or online
-Lessons are $30/hour
