About Tahsin

I am an aspiring graduate at KCL keen to fulfil my abilities through private tutoring. I studied English Literature, Politics, and Sociology for A-levels and achieved A*A*A. I received a grade 9 in GCSE English Language & Literature. I have been tutoring for 4 years and greatly enjoy working with students as I always aim to enrich their academic knowledge to a full capacity.

About the lesson

As a private tutor in Sociology, my approach centres around your individual learning needs and goals. I have worked with a wide range of students over the years and, being a student myself, I have devised different methods of revision and teaching that have proved to be a success with my previous students. My teaching involves breaking down complex ideas into manageable concepts, using real-world examples and analogies to help you grasp difficult topics, and stark examination practice. I specifically aim to improve my student’s essay writing and academic comprehension, with regular feedback, to support them even after our sessions’ course is finished.

I use powerpoint slides for content, to consolidate foundational knowledge. I then use a live online Word document to practice essay structure and planning with the student. This also allows each student to get live feedback on their essays in real time.

My prices are £20 up to GCSE level, and £35 for ALevel students.
