I have since attended a number of his workshops and each one has resulted in some improvement in my writing. I have also sent him short stories and more recently chapters from my novel for editing and general writing help. Ross is very kind, supportive, and his editorial writing notes are thorough. With his editing services he also includes a zoom call before reading the manuscript. During the zoom call he asked questions and took notes on the issues that were of concern to me about my novel. In his editorial notes he attended to those alongside any other writing issues. I am grateful for his help. He is one of those teachers that has a good balance of challenging me as a writer, but being kind and enthusiastic about my writing, so that I always leave the discussions inspired to write more (and better).
