About Thomas
I am a recent Maths PhD Graduate from the University of Oxford. I also studied there for my undergraduate there. During my time there, I did lots of teaching as I really enjoyed it. I worked as a private tutor, at summer schools, and did teaching for the University. Outside of my studies I am an avid player of games and sports, my favourites being Squash, Chess, and Yu-gi-oh. I am on here to advertise my Maths lessons, but if you happen to want to learn some chess as well then let me know!

I love Maths and have lots of experience teaching: - Private tutoring on and off since I was doing my A-levels, for all age groups - Teaching Oxford Undergraduates in classes and tutorials - Teaching at Summer Schools (where I designed the courses!) My personal ethos when it comes to teaching Maths is to make sure students have a solid grasp of the fundamentals and a good 'big picture' view of the topic they are studying. Once you 'know what you don't know', it can give students the extra confidence needed to get stuck into the details, and make the topic seem less overwhelming. I usually offer lessons by the hour, but can be flexible if needed. I am happy to tutor online, or in person in the Amersham area.
