About Jessica

I am currently a PhD student in History at a Canadian university. My previous degree is from medical school in Germany, which is the country where I grew up. I am fluent in English and French and know basic Italian. I hence have plenty of experience learning other languages and can accommodate various situations and speak about a wide range of topics.

About the lesson

The classes will be all about conversing in everyday German. I will have some topics to start with, (for example asking for directions or ordering food, speaking about hobbies) but it will really be centred around the student so that they have the opportunity to talk about what interests them.

Jessica is a patient and experienced language teacher. She was very interested in working at my level and provided gentle but consistent feedback.

One thing she really did well was provide resources and suggestions for practice and continued learning outside of our session, which I think is key to progress.
