About Ryan

Hi, my name is Ryan and I’m excited to be your Social Studies tutor! I’ve always been passionate about understanding how people, places, and societies shape our world. With a bachelor’s degree in History and a master’s degree in Urban Planning, I bring both academic expertise and real-world insights to our lessons. In college, I’ve had the privilege of tutoring students during my time at the University Writing Center, where I helped learners develop critical thinking skills and a deeper appreciation for historical and cultural topics. Tutoring has always been a rewarding experience for me because I love helping others connect with the stories and systems that shape our lives today. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy exploring cities and learning about their history, spending time outdoors, and diving into books about urban design and global cultures.
