Bass drum
The bass is also known as the kick drum, and it's the largest drum kit in the percussion family. This piece is usually played with a foot pedal attached to its tip. To be effective and serve you well, you should put a soft material inside it like the pillow or some unused cloth materials.
Snare Drum
This is also known as the side drum. It is an important drum on the drum kit. The whole drum set revolves around it. So, it's used to play a different genre of music.
It belongs to the drum, percussion family. It is called a snare drum because it is made of about 10 - 18 snares, giving it a crisp and rattling sound when being hot by the drum sticks.

Tom
The tom is another drum contained in the drum sets. It is quite different from the snare drum since it doesn't have snare wires. It's a cylindrical drum without snares and can be turned into any pitch suitable for you.
Drum Stool
This is a very important piece of equipment used while playing the drums. Of course, you don't want to stand while playing the drums. That would be so uncomfortable. Having the drum stool makes you free to play the drums. The drum stool is a round and highly padded stool with 3 chrome legs. The good thing about the drum is that you can always adjust to the right size for you, so you don't have to worry about the distance to the drum.

- The Drumsticks
Drumsticks, also called percussion sticks, are used in playing the drums in different types, sizes, and levels. If you really want to identify as a drummer, you have to get one of them. Different drumsticks for different drum types are used to attain different beat levels.
The drumsticks used for acoustic drum is different from that of the electronic drum, so you must be sure of the drum type before buying the sticks.
For electronic drums, the best drumstick for beginners is the 5A stick which is also the standard drumstick for drummers since its size makes it easy to use for any music type. Other drum sticks are:
- 7A - This is thinner than the 5A drumstick, and it is used for soft jazz music and is also used by marching bands.
- 2B - This is the thickest of all the drumsticks and can be used for practice.
- 1A - This is the longest of all drumstick
- 3A - It is slightly longer and thicker than 5A
- 8D - It is the same as 7A but a bit longer
The drumsticks used for African drums are different from those used by electronic drums. A typical example is the talking drum. The talking drum requires using your palm and a curved mallet stick, which has flat at the edge to get the best result.

Floor Stands
Most of the large acoustic drums have floor stands which usually come with wheels for easy movement. It might not be as sophisticated as the electronic drum stands. Still, it's a good way of handling the drum instead of carrying it in your hand, which could lead to the fall or damage of the drum.
Drum Lifting Equipment
You might decide to play for a marching band someday, so you need to be familiar with the type of drums they play. These drums include the Bass drum, snare drum, tenor drum, tom, cymbals and other instruments.
However, it's not possible to carry these drums when drumming simultaneously. That is why drum carriers were introduced. The drum is usually clamped to it, then worn around the neck and back. This helps to reduce the stress that carrying the drum might cause. It also helps to secure clamped drums and attain a high comfort level.
There are different levels of drum carriers, and you can always get a good drum carrier online from the best brands that sell the musical instruments and add them to your cart. These carriers come in different grades and levels. Just make sure you choose the right one for yourself.

When you hear the word rug, what comes to your mind is aesthetics and decorations, right? In the case of drums, it has nothing to do with that. The major function of the drum rugs is to hold your drum kit in place. It prevents your drums from slipping away while providing stability to the drums. You're free to add that to your drummers kit wishlist and look up the price online.
Another thing the drum rug does is that it prevents friction between the drums and the floor and prevents the scratching of the drums against the floor. There could be variations in the size of drums depending on how large the drum kit is. The rug size ranges from four to eight feet.
