About Elizabeth

I’ve worked as a tutor for many years, teaching in after-school programs and providing one-on-one support—most recently helping a high school student prepare for university by introducing her to key photography concepts. I’ve also worked in colleges and universities as a college assistant and teaching assistant, supporting students in both academic and creative fields. With a background in visual media, broadcast journalism, and the arts, I bring a well-rounded, engaging approach to teaching. My fluency in Russian has opened many doors, including the opportunity to translate lectures for international students from Kazakhstan throughout an academic year—an experience that deepened my love for education and inspired me to begin teaching Russian as well. In addition to art and photography, I’ve helped Russian-speaking children understand classroom materials and translate tests, making sure they feel confident and included. I truly enjoy using my Russian language skills to help others succeed—whether in education, creative communication, or daily conversation.
