Hi there! I'm in my first year of univeristy studying English and my passion for the language and literature has led me here. I teach students from a primary to A level education and I believe a relaxed environment where we can learn about each other as well as having structured lessons is imperative to having a successful learning experience.
I have tutored before for 5 different students aged between 12-16 who needed help in their English language over the course of a year. Owing to my tutoring they drastically improved their grades from achieving D grades to A grades. My time spent with these students was a balance between stern mentoring but also having fun and establishing rapport
8 GCSE's (A-C) including a B in English language and literature
A levels include:
Philosophy & Ethics (A)
Ongoing English degree at univeristy
I have completed an EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) based on the change in English literature from the 19th century to present day and received a B grade
I was selected for the prestigious brilliant club and completed a univeristy assisgnment entitled; 'is poetry dead?' and was awarded a 2:1
I have tutored before at my previous school
I had a work placement at a primary school in which I worked with students to produce high quality work focusing on their English
I have also attended various poetry conferences held at UCL
