Statement of Teaching Philosophy
My background and extensive experience includes both professional positions as well as positions responsible for the education of others. With a diversified background including demonstrating expertise in standards-based curriculum, I enjoy leading the student-instructor collaboration process and motivating and mentoring students. Students know I am glad to be in the classroom because of my demeanor and course involvement.
Education is vital to a person throughout their life. As educators, we not only teach, but have an opportunity to install an appreciation for education and lifelong learning. It is important for instructors to remember that the tone they set in the classroom can set the stage for success, and to maintain an upbeat, friendly and communicative style.
