US nat with years of Arabic speaking experience US & abroad - academic and practical expertise

Denise is one of the greatest people I've ever met. She is simultaneously highly intelligent and extremely socially perceptive, able to exercise sound judgement even in very sensitive or ambiguous situations. I know this because I studied abroad with her in the Middle East for a year, sometimes travelling to areas where a US State Department travel advisory was in effect, and where a lack of sound judgement could lead to difficulties very quickly. She was an excellent and trustworthy travelling partner, which I believe is highly indicative of her character in general.

Perhaps even more importantly, she approaches almost everything she does with contagious enthusiasm. Her strong and evident interest in her areas of expertise, and excitement to share that expertise with others, is perhaps the most important attribute that makes her successful teacher. There is no doubt in my mind that students and colleagues alike would benefit greatly from having her in their lives.

Denise is reliable and dedicated to sharing her experience and expertise, especially with her language skills. She is a resource for her friends and peers to communicate effectively and educate in a clear and kind way.

Denise is extremely passionate about learning Arabic and has dedicated so much of her extra time towards advancing her language skills. She is a very patient person when it comes to teaching others and will do an incredible job as a tutor.

Her proficiency in both Modern Standard and Colloquial Arabic is impressive, and she is dedicated to utilizing those speaking skills at all times. Her teaching style is complete Arabic language immersion. She is also highly perceptive and adaptive, which consequently allows her to customize her lessons to meet the different needs, goals, and pace of each individual student.
