About Sreelakshmi

I am Sreelakshmi C, a dedicated and qualified educator with a strong academic background in History and Education, holding BA, MA, and B.Ed degrees, along with SET and KTET (Category II & III) certifications. I bring hands-on teaching experience at both High School and Lower Primary levels, along with a passion for learner-centered education and holistic student development.
During my tenure as a High School Social Science Teacher at GHSS Maranchery (2024–2025), I taught History, Civics, and Geography in accordance with the state syllabus. I prepared structured lesson plans, conducted assessments, and implemented remedial strategies to improve learning outcomes. I also actively participated in Cluster-level Teacher Training Programs, which strengthened my collaborative teaching practices and curriculum understanding.
Previously, at Ansar English School, Kololamba (2023–2024), I taught Malayalam for the LP section and History for High School students, adapting teaching methodologies to suit different age groups. In addition to classroom teaching, I served as Art Coordinator, Energy Club Convener, and Class In-charge, organizing co-curricular activities that enhanced student creativity, engagement, and overall development. I consistently worked with colleagues and school administration to ensure smooth academic and co-curricular execution.
My B.Ed teaching internship at AVHSS Ponnani further strengthened my skills in lesson planning, classroom management, student assessment, and activity-based learning approaches. I am confident in my ability to create inclusive, disciplined, and motivating classroom environments that support academic success and critical thinking.

About the lesson

Instead of lecturing I will use different teaching methods like role play, using audiovisual aids, and connect History with today, ask questions, use interactive sessions, explain concepts in simple and regional language. I will give some tasks like timeline, concept map, creation of questions. Assessment is also very important. Through the formative and summative assessment I can identify the difficult areas of the lesson and will provide remedial measures.
