I tend to teach students by initially taking stock and assessing what areas of the subject the student is having issues with, and then working through each topic with them in turn by going through the topic and with them in the first half of the session (so that they have a better idea of what to do), and then giving the student practice questions in the second half (so that they can practice what they have just learned). I will often also give them more practice questions for homework so that they are fully prepared before our next session.
I am an A level computer science student with a great deal of experience in mentoring and tutoring younger pupils. I have mentored children from primary school level to GCSE age in maths, physics and most importantly, computer science. I have been studying computer science for four years now, having achieved a level 8 in GCSE.
