About Sorcha
My name is Sorcha and I have experience teaching and tutoring Science at secondary school level. I offered tutoring to students after school and took a hands-on approach to engaging in interactive and practical teaching techniques during my own education sabbatical. I am very aware that each student responds to different learning techniques, be it visual, interactive etc. I have experience teaching young people with learning difficulties such as dyscalculia and dyslexia. Therefore, I try to tailor education based around this fact to promote a good relationship with study and education. I believe that learning should be enjoyable and I have tried to engender this through my classes and tutor sessions over the past 5 years with primary school level children and A-level students alike. I have a true passion for all things biology and psychology thanks to current MSc Neuroimaging at KCL, and my BSc Neuroimaging at St Andrews. This experience has also given me an excellent grasp of high-level Mathematics and Statistics.
