I have experiential approach to teaching. It depends on the age and experience level of my students. Relating each lesson to real world or work related issues i my style. I have professional background therefore I like to connect with my students through our shared backgrounds.
I am an engineer and marketing professional with many years of experience in global manufacturing industry. I have traveled extensively in Asia, the Middle East and Europe and have a good understanding of different cultures. My background will definitely bring a different approach to my teaching
I received a manufacturing engineering education after which my career continued in the machine tool industry (sales). After three years I furthered my education and completed my MBA, and upon graduation worked in the finishing equipment industry as a Product Manager.
My career continued as a sales and marketing executive for a small retail based PC hardware company. With effort and ingenuity we transformed the company into corporate sales by adding important accounts that provided 60% of total sales.
After my experience in the PC industry I got back into manufacturing by starting my own global casting supply company (MAP Inc.). We supplied a number of major U.S pump manufacturers with raw and fully machined castings for their pump components. We furthered our global supply chain by entering the Chinese supplier market. We opened major long term accounts that continue to be serviced by our representatives today. I have most recently ventured into manufactured housing development which continues profitably.

We are also actively marketing through our social media sites which are also growing rapidly. Involved in property development in the manufactured home industry. Developed a number of homes by fixing and offering them back into the market. This has been a business with excellent potential. We were able to turn a combined 32% ROI on those properties.
August 1995 – June 2010
This was my company, which was involved in the world wide supply of engineered castings to the pump industry. We sourced our components through foundries and machine shops in both China and India. The business developed a number of large corporate customers here in the U.S and we were able to secure long term supply deals through the strength of the quality of our work and the service we provided. We were primarily involved in producing fully machined Cast Iron and Stainless Steel Investment castings. Our clients were some of the largest water and food pump manufacturers in the world. I also traveled extensively and managed our Chongqing, China office for two years.
April 1992 – August 1995
Worked as partner to help this P.C hardware manufacturer transition from a primarily retail based business to larger corporate accounts. Established several long term large accounts that provided 40% of the total revenue of the company.
August 1989 – December 1991
Worked in the Powder Group as a product manager responsible for new product development. Responsible for the development of new products for the Tribomatic line of finishing equipment. This required working closely with engineering and management both in our U.S and the ICAB Sweden location. Was able to successfully test a new line of products that used a hybrid of U.S and patented Swedish technology. Also worked extensively with the field sales force on technical issues and new product features.

I am an avid mountain biker and love to travel for business and pleasure if time permits. Also keep up with reading about the manufacturing industry and new developments within it.
