About Jada

Hello to all of you. My name is Jada. After completing my studies at Dominguez High School, I am presently enrolled in El Camino Community College. I've been tutoring since high school. Working with the underclassmen began my junior year. My main areas of tutoring were publications, reading, and English. I was thrilled to be a part of Girls in STEM because I was also quite involved in the STEM department in high school. I immediately enrolled in college after high school to pursue a profession in psychology. I changed to child development after realizing after my first semester that it wasn't for me. I began working as a teacher's assistant in elementary schools, which gave me the opportunity to assist students with their homework.

About the lesson

There are multiple approaches to teaching, particularly if you wish to meet the needs of each and every student. Establishing the appropriate behavior that must be displayed throughout our time together is the first thing I prefer to do with my students. Students will rapidly catch up on your positive behavior model and emulate it if you make it a habit. Additionally, I've discovered that rewarding pupils for a job well done enhances their behavioral and academic success.

Regarding the academic aspect, tests will be utilized to evaluate students' comprehension on both a broad and precise level. These assessments encourage pupils to focus and push them to use what they've learned. Instructors can also gain a great deal of insight from them, which makes it simple to spot and close any significant knowledge gaps in the classroom.

Usually, a lesson plan begins with a warm-up to assess the students' prior knowledge on the subject we are covering. We'll go on to the main topic and then do an exercise. We'll take a brief pause after this to allow the students to unwind mentally for a short while. We will go back to our task, make plans for our next meeting, and provide the student with notes to practice on their own time.
